Hoefer · Nucleic Acid Electrophoresis
SUB Series Submarine Gel Electrophoresis Units
Submarine units from mini to maxi-plus
The Hoefer SUB Series is a family of submarine (horizontal) agarose gel electrophoresis units for nucleic acid separation, ranging from mini to maxi-plus tank sizes. The range covers routine analysis through high-voltage separations, with cooling-base models available for the larger formats.

Features & Benefits
Color-coded, height-adjustable combs let you identify comb thickness at a glance and control well depth.
Colored loading strips make wells easy to detect when loading samples.
The compact SUB6 tank reduces the buffer volume required to cover the gel, giving greater control over the voltage gradient and run-time.
A UV-transparent running tray allows the gel to be imaged without risk of damage from handling.
Side handles on the SUB15 allow safe and easy transportation around the laboratory.
Buffer recirculation ports on the SUB13, SUB15, SUB20/SUB20C and SUB25/SUB25C can be connected to a peristaltic pump to recirculate buffer during electrophoresis, maintaining buffer pH and preventing ionic gradient formation.
The cooling base on the SUB20C and SUB25C can be connected to a recirculation bath, allowing high-voltage electrophoretic separations without overheating.
